2013 was an incredible year in my photography. I must acknowledge a few people who either made it possible for me to pursue my passion, gave me critical feedback, or were willing to stand in front of my camera with an unknown behind the camera.
Vicki, my wonderful and beautiful wife, has supported this journey of mine since the beginning. Whether it be late night shoots or expensive equipment, Vic has encouraged without limits. I am immensely grateful for her loving attitude and support.
Dennis Baker has been a huge inspiration. He and I have shared several G+ Hangouts and many emails. On each interaction, I learn and appreciate Dennis' skills ever more. When I look at Dennis' great images, it is obvious that he is 'connecting' with his clients. I can only hope to reach his level of expertise.
Rene Lopez has been unbelievably helpful in my learning this complex art form. He has extended me shooting opportunities and provided open and honest feedback -- which is an absolute 'must have' to get better. Rene's images are bright, inventive, and always photographically beautiful.
Quick, non-photographic note ... I was about to finish this 'year-end' entry on Dec. 31st, but I got busy and did not finish. This was fortunate because I now want to include a quick 'shout-out' to the Marine Memorial Club in San Francisco and all the veterans I ran into at the New Year's party last night. Vic and I were invited by our great friends Ann & Jerry Pepin to join the yearly traditional New Year's bash at the MMC. We met many wonderful veterans and their families. Based on our table guests -- Lee & Marietta / Bob & Virginia -- Tom Brokaw had it right about "The Greatest Generation". We owe so much to these great patriots!
Now, back to photography ... Here's a quick 'highlight' slide show.
